Life after the fall
project overview
Life after the fall tells the story of Karol Conká, a Brazilian singer who received the highest rejection rate in the history of the global Big Brother reality TV franchise, being eliminated with 99.17% of the votes. Her participation in the show generated unprecedented public backlash and dominated social media. The documentary began filming following her elimination from the reality show. Two weeks later, a program was recorded as an arena featuring five large LED screens surrounding the artist. Estudio Radiográfico was commissioned to create all the content displayed on the screens, and I was responsible for all motion design, planning the animation production workflow, and coordinating deliveries for the LED screens. Challenges: The main challenge was transforming a large-scale physical setup into a flexible visual system within an extremely tight timeframe. The project went from concept to final delivery in less than two weeks of intensive work. In addition to developing content for five LED screens, we had to prepare a large volume of animations for different interaction possibilities. Yes-or-no questions, decisions between going back or moving forward, sentence completions, and other narrative triggers required ready-to-play content that could be activated according to Karol’s answers during the recording. This meant designing not just a linear sequence of animations, but a true library of visual possibilities capable of responding to an unpredictable live event. With limited time and an intense volume of deliverables, the project required precise planning, preparation, and highly coordinated execution. The challenge was to organize this complexity without compromising the consistency of the visual language, ensuring that every piece of content could function as part of a single experience: a visual environment that reacted to, challenged, and engaged with the artist in real time.
